we trusted in people who ran out of our money, ran out of ideas, ran out of our trust and ran out of special sessions. Tomorrow, we are left to believe in those who have misrepresented themselves as noble servants working on our behalf, financiers who have sought profit over prudence and officials who used their public positions for self interest.
they have run out of time. Today, we can begin anew by rising out of this storm. Today we can find again the opportunity to stay in our homes, find decent employment and educate ourselves and our children. Today, we can understand the issues of immigration, healthcare, and the economy of our great state of Arizona more fully and completely by participating in a campaign that you are already engaged in each day. That is, its time to believe in someone again who believes in you. Someone who has personally encountered the hardships and hurdles you face each and every day. That someone is me. I’m Matt Jette and I am running as a Republican and as the people’s Governor of Arizona in 2010!
that test our character and our fortitude we are in need of a person who more than ever continues to persevere. But we are in need also of a person who is also willing to sacrifice all he has to help give, provide for, and build a state that allows each an opportunity for a better life and happiness, who reinforces family values, allows entrepreneurs to excel, and helps bring up those who are disadvantaged. I graduated high school by the thinnest of margins to obtaining a PhD while working through multiple learning disabilities and numerous surgeries. I have made a great many mistakes, but I have achieved, with the help of a number of people, great successes. Finally, I am here in part because of a promise I made years ago lying in a hospital bed to a friend who now lives in the memories of many, to afford to others what has been afforded to me; that is, an opportunity to succeed.
that we would lose belief in those who have long ago abandoned
belief in us. As Governor, you not only have my promise and my
word but my unwavering belief in you as you believe in me.
After all, it's not only politics that is on the rocks, it's our
leaders, our candidates, our party, and it is our state!
